Sir Peter Jackson - 3D Film making

After watching some of the video blogs which Peter has made whilst filming the Hobbit movies I have gained some insight into 3D film making. In these videos the crew and Peter explain the logistics behind 3D camera rigging and the amount of cameras needed for the production.

In the video blogs the crew detail the different cameras which are needed to be able to shoot in 3D. Two cameras are needed to shoot such a wide angle, one member describes it as the Interlocking space between human eyes which they cannot account for on camera, this means that 2 cameras are needed
