Sir Peter Jackson - Modern Day Alfred Hitchcock?

After some research into Peter and an extensive amount of research into Alfred Hitchcock in first year I have found significant similarities between the two directors.

Cameos
As is widely known Alfred Hitchcock made several cameos in his films, this became a trademark which added to the success of his career. Similarly, Peter Jackson has also made cameos in his films.

Cameo in The Hobbit

Collaboration with his wife:

Also similarly to Hitchcock, Peter works closely with his wife Fran Walsh on all of his films. It is said that he will always write scripts with his wife at his side. 

Working with the same actors:

Peter also likes to work with the same actors in his films. He has worked with Andy Serkis many times along with Jed Brophy. Hitchcock was known for having the same leading actors in lots of his films.

With these similarities in mind, the question must be asked. Is Peter Jackson a modern day Alfred Hitchcock?
